Saying Please and Thank You to AI? Yay or Nay?

Maybe I've watched too many episodes of Black Mirror , or maybe I'm just afraid of the day this new form of consciousness gets the upper hand, but I genuinely feel uneasy whenever I intentionally leave out 'please' from a command like, 'Hey Google, please lower the volume.' The other day, I actually forgot my intended request right after the initial prompt, so I just said, 'Hi.' I’ve never had such an awkward conversation in my life.
