You inherit their bugs, security vulnerabilities, breaking updates, and maintenance cycles. Ask yourself: Can we build the 5% of this library we actually need in 20 lines of code? 4. Over-Architecting for Scale You Don't Have Designing a system for 10 million daily active users when you currently have 500 is a classic trap. You end up with distributed microservices, message queues, and complex caching strategies that slow down development speed by 10x.
