How can i creatively use CSS/HTML/JS for a storyboarding portfolio?

Let’s all assume we’re able to do whatever is possible with CSS/HTML/JS. (No typescript or node.js due to hosting restrictions) How can one use it for their animation/storyboard portfolio, unlike making something like a wall of displayed art, how can it be made interactive in a professional way?
